Regan Grimes is a professional Canadian bodybuilder who, since the age of 17, has been practicing in the gym. Regan's reasons for training, though, have changed a lot over time. Regan has turned into an IFBB Pro bodybuilder (bodybuilding division) and fitness entrepreneur-owner of a clothing industry and gym company-since his first show on the bodybuilding scene at age of 18.

Competition and his life career:

  • In the (open) men's division, Regan Grimes began his professional career. But he didn't last long in this division, shortly after, he switched to the Classic Physique division. After that, he wanted to return back to the open competition.

Regan Grimes Training:

Pump the blood:
One of Regan's training priorities is to get as much blood as possible circulating through her muscles.

Regan said that his favorite training is "The pump!!" Put on my headphones and smash a big butt!!

As he explained in one of his recent videos on his YouTube channel, Grimes is currently performing the push-push-legs split program. This assists him to hit any part of his body 2 times a week, which he really likes. Here's an example of a pull-up day workout that includes training in the shoulder, biceps, and back delts.

Grimes does his back workouts usually with 3 to 4 sets of light exercises using cables to warm up and circulate blood to his back. Here's a recent series of exercises he performed when he was in his gym:

Biceps and the rear delts:
  1. Dumbbell curls
  2. Flyback delt machine
  3. Machine preacher buckle
And this is a simple list of exercises to train your chest to get bigger pecs. He normally does a few strong sets of about 8-10 reps. 
  1. Standing cable fly
  2. Incline press machine
  3. Incline dumbbell press

Grimes Nutrition and diet

Grimes' diet depends on what he wants. But here is an example of what he eats to achieve height in a day. 

1-Breakfast Serving 
Coffee, 2 eggs and 5 oz of chicken breast sliced, 100 g of rice cream and 1/2 cup of blueberries, and 1 teaspoon of omega oil. There are also additional seasonings and ingredients included. 

2-Post-workout meal  
300 g of white rice, 6 oz of chicken breast sliced, and a large Honeycrisp apple 

Meal 3 
300 g of white rice and 6 oz of breast chicken 

Meal 4 
Greek salad, 200 g of a chicken skewer, 1 cup of lemon rice, 1.4 cup of Greek lemon potato, 1 roll of a bun, and 1 teaspoon of olive oil 

Meal 5 
300 grams of white rice, 8 ounces of bison 

Last meal "6"
100 g of rice cream and 8 oz of salmon


What can we learn from Regan Grimes?

While Regan Grimes began working to develop his motocross performance, he also saw greater opportunity in the bodybuilding world. He follows what his intuition had told him. It was this great step that allowed Regan to grow his career to another level he never thought it possible to become an IFBB Pro bodybuilder and entrepreneur.

Regan motivational quote: "I remember going to the gym for the first couple of times, using an application on my phone. I would type in the muscle group that I wanted to work out and it would give me a demonstration of the exercises I could do!"

This encourages to release those things inside us to take more opportunity. Often playing safely can be clever. However, as with Regan Grimes, taking small, measured risks can often pay off.
